Lifeline’s Spencer Home located in Fort Wayne, Indiana is a place where boys ages 17.5 through 21 have a safe, structured environment to learn independent living skills to position them for success later in life. This is the 2nd Phase of a 3 phase independent living program. Phase 2 provides apartment style living for residents who are ready to try their independent living skills in a less restrictive environment

Spencer Home has five apartments that can accommodate up to 12 residents. Being a independent living apartment style program, the boys are able to learn how to use local public transportation to get part-time or full-time jobs; buy groceries and prepare their own meals; decorate their rooms and begin practicing many other independent living skills within the safety of staff supervision.

 

Scattered Site Apartments:
Lifeline’s Scattered Site Apartments are located throughout Indiana and offer the least restrictive environment of all the programs. This is the third phase of a three phase independent living program. Residents, both boys and girls, ages 17.5 through 21 have the opportunity to live in their own apartment while they continue their education, continue their employment and transition to a life of independence. Staff assist residents in locating an apartment anywhere in the state that best suits their independent living goals.
