Lifeline’s Riverwood Ranch located in Warsaw, Indiana is a place where girls ages 16 through 21 have a safe, structured environment to learn independent living skills to position them for success later in life. This girl’s independent living program provides both on grounds schooling and off-grounds school (public school), both individual and group counseling with group home and style living. Riverwood Ranch is set back on 22 beautiful acres partially surrounded by woods and the Tippecanoe River. This large home has five dormitory style bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 girls. Being an Independent living program, the girls buy their own groceries and prepare their own meals and decorate their own rooms with the guidance of staff. Staff also assists residents in obtaining either a part-time or full-time job. Riverwood Ranch also offers separate apartment style living that can accommodate up to four residents. Education: Riverwood Ranch offers a variety of restrictiveness to meet all educational needs of the residents. Girls have the opportunity to participate in public school, public alternative school (at the discretion of Warsaw Community School Corp.) or on-grounds self paced learning through our accredited alternative school. Residents will have the opportunity to work towards a high school diploma or GED. Recreation: Riverwood Ranch encourages daily recreation through school opportunities, on-grounds physical exercise, or trips to the YMCA for games, exercise and dancing classes. Residents also enjoy experiential learning at our low ropes course and annual camping trips. Health care: Residents receive regular physical, dental, and vision examinations. They have routine medication consultation through our off-grounds family physician and consulting psychiatrist as needed. Family: If the child’s treatment plan allows, regular visits with family members are encouraged. On-Grounds visitation and parenting classes happen twice a month and residents earn off-ground passes as their treatment progresses.
