My Family is Coming ApartMy Family is Coming Apart

“I’m at a loss. Every day there’s something new going wrong in our house. My husband and son are constantly at each other. My daughter won’t talk to me and I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to have a job. I feel like I’m drowning and there’s no relief.”

Does this sound familiar? While the issues may be different, you’re not alone. At Lifeline, we’re helping over 1,000 families a week find answers—and there are answers. There is hope.

Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Most of the issues families are dealing with are not isolated to a single family member.

  • When seeking help, look to find a program that will work with your family as a whole.

  • Try really listening to your children or spouse to keep communication open.

  • Find a trusted friend to listen and support you as you go through this. If you don’t have someone, try connecting with a local church for some support.

  • Asking for help is not a sign of weaknesses—hope begins when we ask for help.

How Lifeline Can Help:

  • Home-Based Services – We bring help to you. One of our caring staff will meet with you and your family in your own home to talk about the problems and map out some real solutions.

  • Residential Care – In more serious situations, we have group homes to temporarily care for children who are in a crisis situation or who need a “wake-up” call.

  • Responsible Thinking Classes – Join a class with other parents who are dealing with similar issues. Together you’ll learn about the thought patterns that may be tripping your family up—and more importantly, how to combat them.

  • Project Incentive – If you happen to live in Brookmill Court Apartments in Fort Wayne, Indiana, you’ve got support right at your fingertips. Get connected with one of our on-site staff.
